Whether it be infant or teen! we got your back!

1) Limited Mobility

Kids might not express pain or problems like us adults. However, when they sleep in a bad position or perhaps have been lying on the ground in extension for hours reading or solving a puzzle their joints and posture are not doing the best! This is a common assessment by many chiropractors. As much as they are young an invincible, they are only that way because of their body.

2) Improving early stages of text neck

Iphone, Android, Ipad, Tablet… what’s next? Yes we’re all guilty of it. Giving them a small screen to play with or use to keep them entertained like a pacifier. But prolonged in this position (more than 1 to 2 hours) this can severely affect their posture and they start to develop the “muscle memory.” This is where we need to be careful. The last thing we want is for them to develop the habits which set them up for poor function when they grow up!

3) Better sleep!

We’re all tired of waking up in the middle of the night needing to tuck them back into bed. This can be due to being uncomfortable because certain joints aren’t being¬† moving the way the need to.

So how do we solve this?

Great question! Not only does chiropractic care alleviate the joint restrictions to help the body return to its normal function. But our care is only as good as the advice that comes with it. So when they’re laying on their stomach working on a puzzle for hours, get them up and sit cross legged. Or when they’re on the phone for hours, look into getting a phone stand so they can sit on the couch and still use the device in a better position.

Ultimately this will help with their sleep as well. As much as chiropractic can help children, it is us adults who can benefit from this advice as well!
