Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO)
The Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) describes the rights and obligations of clients in healthcare.
The WGBO is important for anyone who is involved with medical care. When a chiropractor starts examining or treating a client, there is a medical treatment agreement. The law is intended to strengthen the position of clients who need medical care.
Posturefixx, as a healthcare provider, is bound by this agreement. For this reason, we would like to explain these rules to you a bit more.
Rights: What does the WGBO regulate
(Click on the links below for more information)
Access to medical records
The right to privacy and secrecy of medical information (professional secrecy)
Representation of patients who cannot decide for themselves
Obligations: What must the patient do
In addition to rights, patients also have duties: The patient must inform the healthcare provider of his/her problems properly, honestly and completely.
With the right information, the healthcare provider can make a diagnosis faster and better and provide better care. The patient should cooperate with the health care provider as much as possible and follow advice.
Questions: Please contact us
The WGBO aims to improve the quality of care in the Netherlands. At TopChiro we are always working to improve our care!
Therefore, you can always contact us with questions about the WGBO, for example, but of course also about all other matters that concern your health.
